Apple Mail

Apple Mail is the recommended email client for use on Mac OS X. The following will walk you through configuring Apple's Mail application for OS X 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3. It is recommended that you run Mac OS X 10.3, as there are significant improvements to the latest version of Mail with improved Spam filtering and displaying of HTML messages.

Select Preferences from the Mail Menu, select the accounts tab you should see a similar screen to the right.
Click the + symbol located near the bottom left corner to add a new email account
Select IMAP from the account type pop-up menu
Description: the name you would like to call the account
Email Address: your address for our servers i.e. yourname@yourdomain.com
Full Name: The name you want listed when you send e-mail
Incoming Mail Server: mail.macosxhosting.com
User Name: Your user name is the part of your email address that appears before the @ symbol
Password: The password you were assigned for our servers

From the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) pop-up menu select Add Server

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.macosxhosting.com

From the Authentication pop-up menu select Password

Enter the same username and password that you entered for the above settings.
